Dead bodies at LA morgue await Lindsay - Hollywood Babes News

Lindsay Lohan is set to have a tough time working with dead bodies at the L.A. County Department of Coroner’s facility.

The ‘Mean Girls’ actress, who has been sentenced for violation of her probation terms, will be picking up trash, emptying trash bins, mopping floors and cleaning windows and restrooms over there.

“She’ll be doing basic janitorial work,” the People Magazine quoted Coroner Assistant Chief, Ed Winter as saying. “She won’t be handling any dead bodies but she’ll certainly see them,” he added.

Lohan, 24, has been ordered to do 120 hours of community service at the morgue and 360 hours of service at the Downtown Women’s Center, a homeless shelter situated in L.A.’s Skid Row.

However, this grueling punishment is in addition to a four-month jail term, which the actress faces.

Lohan will have to enroll in the two community service programs within a week, with a year in hand to complete them.

Kate's Naked Nightmare - Hollywood Babes News

Kate Middleton is having a recurring nightmare - that she is nude in front of the marriage congregation, a media report said Wednesday.

Kate's sister 27-year-old Pippa, who is to be the maid of honour Friday, is in fits of hysterics, The Sun reported.

The 29-year-old has confessed to imagining herself in the buff as the world watches her tie the knot with Prince William.

Kate had suffered a similar anxiety-related dream in 2006 when she was about to start a new job at a clothing chain.

"Kate has the last-minute jitters and just wants the day to arrive. It's hardly surprising considering the stage she is going to be on - with the eyes of the world on her," a royal source was quoted as saying.

"But her nerves have manifested in an interesting way. A recurring dream she hadn't had for years has raised its head again."

In her nightmare, Kate finds herself nude in front of the congregation and then becomes suddenly aware she is stark naked.

The source said: "There is a deathly silence - and everyone from the Queen to Prince Philip is staring at her... Kate has joked the worst bit is she can't work out which parts to cover."

Chalo Dilli is a road movie. A journey that begins with the dynamic Mihika Banerjea. A strong willed young woman who is a Senior Vice President of a top multinational Financial Institution in Mumbai. A jet setter, go-getter, no nonsense woman, Mihika divides the world into losers and winners and knows which side she is on. Mrs Clear Cut!

The premise is simple. Mihika is heading back home from Mumbai to Delhi (to her banker husband who lives and works there), and misses her flight and encounters Manu Gupta, a podgy and loud ' Ladies Cut-piece' merchant who has a small 10 by 10 shop at Karol Bagh Delhi.

Manu is everything that Mihika isn't. Loud. Crass. Obnoxious. Rude. (He is that guy who talks on his cellphone loudly in the theatre and then spits gutkaa juice in the aisle...). He isn't an idiot. He is very smart. Street smart. But mostly over smart. And boy...do they pay for it!

As fate (and the script) would have it... Mihika lands up in a situation where she and Manu are stuck together for the rest of the journey to Delhi.

A bizarre journey full of adventure, madness and crazy comic moments with the oddest traveling couple ever! (She drinks Evian and while he is cool drinking from a bore well...She smokes Virginia Slims, he chews Gopal zarda)

A bizarre journey through air, road and rail from Mumbai, via Jaipur to Delhi.

A journey which along with these two protagonists showcases the real India. Its colorful and funny people and their eccentricities.

But above all it's a journey within for Mihika. Where the real growth happens on reaching her destination of Delhi... (Which is a big moment because getting home turns out to be tougher than she thought...)...

Come. Be a part of the craziest roller coaster journey of your lives...with Mihika and Manu, and their resounding war cry 'Chalo Dilli'!!! Characters:

Manu is extremely street smart and thinks he can outwit any situation, which at times makes him overconfident and gets him (and others) into trouble. A habitual gutka chewer, he will spit around everywhere beacuse of his 'sabh chalta hai' attitude.

Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Jee - Movie Review

Dil Toh Bachcha Hai JeeCast: Ajay Devgn, Emran Hashmi, Omi Vaidya, Shruti Hasan, Shazahn Padamese, Shraddha Das

Director Madhur Bhandarkar

Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Jee is a movie, which as the title suggests, is about the essence of a human heart which almost always retains its child like quality. The heart is where life's entire essence is.

Thus to prove this point, director Madhur Bhandarkar has significantly dealt with the subject of love in a very humorous way.

The movie stars Ajay Devgn portraying the character of Naren, a middle aged manager of a multinational Bank. There he falls head over heels in love with a young girl barely out of her teens called June Pinto, played by Shazahn Padamese.

Omi Vaidya as Milind Kelkar is the typical idealistic poet living in his own transient world has a deep crush for a girl called Gungun Sarkar played by Shraddha Das. Gungun who is a very ambitious and career minded gal has a thing for the playboy Abhay played by Emran Hashmi.

Abhay or Emran is strongly attracted to a young and vibrant gal called Nikki, played by Shruti Hassan who is an out and out loud mouth. Nikki does not hesitate to call a spade a spade, a trait which is simply loved by the Casanova Abhay.

This entire gamut of affairs and secret liaisons creates a total chaos and as each event gets entangled with the other the movie becomes one big platform of drama and melodrama.

Madhur Bhandarkar, who is known for making realistic cinema, has put in the flavor of realism in this movie too, with the characters all very believable and something which a common man can relate to. The music has been scored by Pritam. The movie releases on the 28th of January 2011 so watch out for this one!

Movie Review Of "Yeh Saali Zindagi"

Yeh Saali Zindagi Cast: Irrfan Khan, Chitrangda Singh, Arunoday Singh, Aditi Rao, Saurabh Shukla, Vipin Sharma, Yashpal Sharma, Sushant Singh, Prashant Narayanan

Music: Nishat Khan

Lyrics: Swanand Kirkire

Dialogues: Manu Rishi & Sudhir Mishra

Story, Screenplay, Direction: Sudhir Mishra

Yeh Saali Zindagi Its a quirky love story in the guise of a thriller. Its an obtuse take on how far they both the heroes go to get the women they love and how sometimes one screw-up can set everything right!

Arun (Irrfan Khan) has to save Priti (Chitrangda Singh) the woman he loves, but for that he first has to save the man Priti loves- Shyam, the future son in law of a powerful Minister.

Meanwhile, time is running out for Kuldeep (Arunoday Singh), the young gangster who is on his last job as his wife is threatening to walk out on him completely, and he begins to suspect she is leaving him to go into the arms of another man.

The job has gone haywire for it is still unknown to Kuldeep that the Ministers daughters engagement with Shyam is off and now she doesn’t care whether Shyam lives or dies and more importantly neither does the Minister who Kuldeep hoped would pay the ransom!

Priti finds herself inextractably caught in this mess and Arun has to save her life. But for that he has to risk everything, and put his own life at stake, he wonders why he should do it at all, if she still loves another.

He’s torn, but love knows no reason. Meanwhile Shyam is trying to make deals in captivity, and his goodness only seems superficial and as Kuldeep tries desperately to save his situation, there are dons coming from Bangkok, who have their own plans.

The film rides a roller-coaster towards a shattering climax, where all the players have to fend for their lives and loves. Who gets the girl, and who gets the money, and who escapes by the skin of his teeth, is now anybody’s guess. But hold on, there are still jokers in the pack, and aces up some sleeves.

Movie Review Of "7 Khoon Maaf"

7 Khoon MaafVishal Bharadwaj's fetish for big screen adaptations of books and plays is well-known. Continuing with what he is best at, the multi-faceted filmmaker is bringing on screen Friday "Susanne's Seven Husbands", which has Priyanka Chopra as a sinister woman who knocks off her husbands one after another.

The film is based on Ruskin Bond's "Susanne's Seven Husbands" and tracks the story of a beautiful young girl Susanna Anna-Marie Johannes (Priyanka) who ends up tying the knot seven times following untimely and mysterious deaths of her hapless husbands.

And due to strange circumstances, Susanna becomes the prime suspect.

Produced by UTV Spotboy and Bharadwaj himself, it stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, John Abraham, Irrfan Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, Annu Kapoor and Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko. Naseer's son Vivaan also plays one of the husbands in the thriller.

In the film, Priyanka's character ages from 20 years to 65. The first story titled "Adamkhor Major" has Neil playing the role of Major Edwin Rodrigues. Susanna falls for him as he looks dashing in uniform; he's however a bit old for her and likes to give orders.

Good looking guys are Susanna's weakness.

Post-Edwin's death, Susanna decides to marry Jimmy, played by John, as she is floored by his good looks and musical talent. She, however, doesn't have any idea what's in store for her. This story is called "Ek Duje Ke Liye".

But Jimmy also dies and then enters poet Wasiullah Khan a.k.a. Musafir played by Irrfan. Impressed by his poetry, Susanna marries him too. Although during the day he is gentle, as the dark dawns upon, he becomes something else. This story is called "Mussafir Hoon Yaaron".

"Amar Prem" sees Susanna falling for Nicolai Vronsky, played by Russian actor Aleksandr Dyachenko, from Moscow but this marriage doesn't last long as Vronsky dies too.

Following the death of Susanna's previous husbands, the police start taking keen interest in the case. So police officer Keemat Lal enters Susanna's life. He not only persuades her to marry him but also makes it impossible for her to say no. Their story is titled "Pyaar Ki Keemat".

After the death of Keemat, Susanna is attracted to Dr. Modhusudon Tarafdar. Titled "Mashroom Da", as the story progresses Susanne is now suffering from melancholy and her husband Naseer puts her on mushroom only diet.

The seventh husband is played by Vivaan, but the story has been kept under wraps.

For her role, Priyanka had to go through seven different age makeovers, for which prosthetics had to play a vital part.

Bharadwaj had hired Hollywood special make-up effects artist Greg Cannom of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" fame to create those seven different looks.

It is also being said that to make Priyanka look like a 65-year-old woman, the make-up team used Priyanka's grandmother's photo for ideas.

Like always, Bharadwaj has also composed the music for the film. The Indian version of traditional Russian folk song "Kalinka", "Darling" instantly struck a chord with the music buffs. It has been sung by Bharadwaj's wife Rekha and Usha Uthup.

Movie Review Of "Shor In The City"

Shor In The CityIf you can't hear it, you're obviously dead! That is the underlying thought that runs through the season's most keenly awaited comedy, which revolves around three interconnected stories in the midst of the noise and grime of Mumbai.

Abhay (Sendhil Ramamurthy - Heroes, Covert Affairs), an NRI, is forced to come to terms with being alone in an unwelcoming city, which he thought was home. Living in a comfortable shell, he soon discovers that he might not be different from the thousands that mill around the bustling city.

He seeks refuge in the winsome Sharmili (Preeti Desai - former Miss England.)

Tilak (Tusshar), a bootlegger with a conscience, pulls petty scams with his bold and carefree buddies, Ramesh (Nikhil Dwivedi) and Mandook (Pitobash Tripathi).

One day they chance upon a rare loot on a local train, which opens up new and dangerously exciting avenues for them. Tilak, incidentally, is also shouldering the responsibility of his new bride, Sapna (Radhika Apte) while taking off on his latest thrill ride to have a 'blast'.

Young Sawan (Sundeep Kishan) dreams of making it to the Junior Cricket team. In a city where corruption is a way of life, his dream comes at a price.

In the overcrowded urban landscape, lines dividing the right from the wrong are blurred, as the need to survive and succeed takes precedence.

The serio-comic take on the chaos of the city makes one realize that like its inhabitants, every city runs on its own ad-hoc rules.

From the producer of Love Sex Aur Dhokha, comes an edgy, trippy, and unabashedly entertaining film, which received a rousing response in New York, Pusan, and Dubai. Not-to-be-missed!

CHARACTERS

Sonia Lovani
It's BFF, Not BIFF!

Completing the trio of BFF's, Sonia is the borderline anorexic airhead of the group. She is allergic to oily food and makes fun of Jugs all the time for being fat. She loves Natasha's sense of style and tries to ape her.

Having been raised by a single mom, Sonia carries around her complexes of wanting to be thin and perfect all the time…

But the perks of a complexed fashion designer for a mother also include getting to drive her car, wearing her fancy clothes and if need be calling her in the middle of night expecting to be bailed out of sticky situations!

Gollu
If I don't see upper thigh then bye bye!

Gollu is the fat, obnoxious and horny boy of the college. There is only one thing permanently in his mind. Sex. His only purpose in life is to throw the best parties hoping that one such party will get him laid.

The only reason he gets to hang out with the coolest group of the college is because his dad is THE record producer of the country, making him the most loaded kid in the college. He is a kid with no morals, loves to show off. His god is Luv Nanda and he does everything to ape him. But he's the guy, who will not think twice before switching loyalties if his friends fall.

Jugnoo (Jugs) Shastri
Luv Nanda ko Luv Nanga nahi kiya, toh mere naam Jugs Nahi!

Rhea's best friend Jugnoo is bold, unpredictable, hilarious, and ton ness of fun. She's got a razor-sharp wit and can easily tear a person apart with her well-timed comic gems. She's a bit overweight but not obese.

She doesn't approve of Luv and Rhea's intention of taking her relationship forward with him. She's truly believes he is not a guy any girl should trust, least of all Rhea.

Jugs loves to eat and is constantly at war with Sonia about her diet facts and her wanting to be as thin and cool as Natasha and her clones - the vamps - who she HATES!

Timmy
I can move my chest muscles!

Timmy is all brawn, no brain. If he spent as much time on his studies as he does at the gym, he wouldn't have to repeat the 12th standard exam three years in a row.

Timmy is a genuinely sweet guy and a loyal friend to Gollu and Luv, always at their beck and call. Luv and Gollu like to keep Timmy around because they feel one need a beefier, "adult" guy in the group to inspire respect and spread fear.

Timmy's favorite quote about continually flunking the 12th standard: "I keep getting older, but the girls stay the same age". But if he had to impress girls it would be by showing them how many pounds he can bench press. He's truly homophobic and if he had his way would punch every gay along his way.

Karthikeyan Ramachandran
I always have my computer with me!

Karthikeyan is the school nerd! He can crack any code, hack any computer, and jump any firewall. Is the joke of his college and Luv Nanda's group in particular? Gollu and Timmy feed off Karthikeyan as daily entertainment.

He hates all of them and has developed breathing disorders thanks to them. If given a chance, will join the Luv, Gollu and Timmy bashing party happily.

He secretly has a crush on Jugs, but is so scared of her that whenever she comes in front of him, he just stares and stammers and ends up looking like a freak. His only friend is his brother Daman. Karthikeyan also happens to be Rhea's neighbor.

Daman
Giiiiirls!

Daman is an even greater freak than his younger brother Karthikeyan. Karthikeyan looks up to Daman. He is the guy who knows everyone's dark secrets including Luv Nanda's. He is a computer genius and prefers never to surface in civilization and remain underground forever.

Natasha Oberoi and the Vamps (Maya and Tara)
"Tumse toh ek light bulb bhi turn on nahi hoga!"

Natasha is teen royalty and the Queen Bee of "The Vamps" - she never goes anywhere without her clones Maya and Tara who are cheaper imitations of herself.

A trio of girls everyone at school knows absolutely everything about: what they wear, who they are dating, what diet they are on, everything. They are the celebrities of school. They dictate the style, fashion and cool new "buzzwords." It's almost as if they have a guidebook nobody else has.

As leader of "The Vamps," Natasha sets the rules and everyone follows everything she does. Natasha is one of the sexiest (and sluttiest) girls on campus.

Movie Review Of "Zokkomon"

ZokkomonFilm: "Zokkomon"; Cast: Anupam Kher, Darsheel Safary, Manjari Phadnis

Director: Satyajit Bhatkal

Rating: **

Heart-warming performances and noble intentions do not make great cinema. This one falls short of expectations, mainly because of the poor special-effects and the failure of the plot to take off. To imagine a film about a flying hero without convincing technique to make the flight of fancy believable, is to imagine a grounded aircraft waiting clearance on a foggy afternoon when nothing in the skyline is visible.

As "Zakkomon", Darsheel just doesn't take wings. He has great charm, no doubt. And his performance is more crafted and honed than it was in "Taare Zameen Par". Sad to say the material meant to support him is frail and feeble. The effort is noteworthy for the conviction that the two principal actors, Safary and Kher, are able to impart to a film that seems hellbent on messing up its own prospects.

All said and done "Zokkomon" in unable to rise to the occasion. Touted as a super-hero film with the youngest super-hero in the world, it just doesn't provide the young hero the space to spread his wings. The mask gets muzzled. The cape is clipped in the wings.

Darsheel Safary in the title role looks every inch the self-styled saviour of the world. He takes the part seriously. But doesn't allow it to trip over in self-importance. He gets ample support from Anupam Kher in the two roles as an evil uncle and the scientist. The two actors seem to get the point of doing a film about a 14-year-old flying hero. If only they were better supported by the technical department.

The ineptness of the special effects is surprising considering the film comes from the reputed international producers Walt Disney.

One wouldn't like to see "Zokkomon" as a wasted effort. It pushes the envelope a little towards the right direction in providing entertainment for kids. Through Darsheel's endearing screen presence, the plot is able to overcome its inherent deficiencies and connect with young minds.

The fantasy element, so essential to propelling the plot ahead, is marred by a discernible lack of funds. But Darsheel in the inspiring company of his Anupam Uncle and his perky co-star Manjari Phadnis seems to be determined to have fun at a party where the arrangements are not quite what the guests expected.

Movie Review Of "I Am"

I AmStarring Nandita Das, Purab Kohli, Juhi Chawla, Manisha Koirala, Sanjay Suri, Radhika Apte, Shernaz Patel, Anurag Kashyap, Rahul Bose, Arjun Mathur & Abhimanyu Singh

Rating: ****

How and where does one begin to describe the infinite satisfaction of watching a film that emerges from the closet with some arresting and disturbing home-truths on what goes on when the lights are off ?Tiptoeing through the darkest corridors of the human heart director Onir in I Am comes up with four stories on the question of individual, sexual and geo-political identity.

There are no happy beginnings or endings for any of the four protagonists in I Am. Each one creates a universe of sublime sorrow spearheaded by an inability to …well, fit in.

Squares among circles? So be it. Onir revels in creating damaged but empathetic worlds for his four heroes…No, these are super-heroes in their resilience and determination to tackle discrimination without succumbing to their internal injuries.

When Afia in the first story, played by the luscious Nandita Das asks her buddy Juhi Chawla if she’d lend her brother for some serious sperm banking, Juhi (who we get to know in the next story is Megha reclaiming her heritage in Kashmir) walks away in disgust. We can’t.

We don’t want to. Artificial insemination gets a cinematic treatment in the story as Nandita meets her sperm donor (Purab Kohli in a timid mode). As they speak gently into the night, a warm fertile relationship grows between them in the fertility clinic. No they don’t fall in love. Where is the space for that to creep in?

The punctuations in the first story are bolder more aggressive than the other three, as though Onir wanted to get all the ‘cinema’ in his film out of the way as early as possible.

For the second story I Am Megha, Onir takes his compelling drama of the damned to Kashmir. The location is treacherously pretty. Mani Ratnam’s Dil se re dil se.

The dreaded ‘m’ word stalks the streets with unrelenting impunity. Here under the shadow of militancy two dignified women, one a Kashmiri Pundit and the other a local Muslim, interact with restrained annoyance. They are upset and angry. But they won’t colour the ambience with their prejudices.

Thanks to the two actresses Juhi Chawla and Manisha Koirala who play out the Ingmar Bermanesque drama in the deceptive tranquility of the Valley I Am Megha comes to life as a chamber-piece set in the outdoors.

And if that sounds like a contradiction in terms then stick around. Onir specializes in interpreting the beauty of the world outside as a counterpoint to the squalidity that is secreted in places not visible to the human eye.

The third story I Am Abhimanyu on child abuse is understandably a portrait of acute complexities brought to a virile fruition by the director’s determined evasion of any self-pity in the abused child’s character. Rather, Abhimanyu (Sanjay Suri) grows up as quite a manipulator, not sure of his sexual preferences but sure that he’d milk the ambivalence of his tortured past for all that it’s worth.

Amazingly Onir goes through the three phases in Abhimanyu’s life, as the abused child going on to a manipulative adolescent and thence to whining adulthood, in just about 15-20 minutes of playing-time.

Portable epic, indeed! This story also has the most intriguing array of actors, from Suri as the grownup permanently-wounded Abhimanyu to Zain Salam as the adolescent Abhimanyu to Anurag Kashyap as the sexual molestor, to Shernaz Patel as the mother in denial and Radhika Apte as Suri’s bohemian sounding-board who knows she may not be able to have sex with the man she so openly loves because of his tortured past. Whose locks is it anyway?

The sexual candour of this episode makes for remarkable viewing. Onir desists from making any judgement on those who scar the wounded. And really, who are we to wonder what lies beneath the surface of the simmering sexual politics of that overrated universe known as domesticity?

The rawest most guttural and devastating story is saved for the last. I Am Omar is a story straight out of every gay person’s favourite nightmare. While making out in a car with his newly acquired toyboy Omar (Arjun Mathur) Jai (Rahul Bose) is accosted by a vulgar homophobic cop.

Here we must pause to note that Abhimanyu Singh as the cop on the bawdy beat comes up with the most bludgeoning performance in the film. His filthy language and his even filthier intentions towards the cowering gay man are brought out by the actor with a ferocity and clarity that provide an entirely new definition to credible characterization.

This story is shot with the quivering conviction of a crime reporter with a video camera who has suddenly chanced on a scene of atrocity that far exceeds his call of duty. The enormity of the crime is represented in the beads of sweat that appear on the victim of the police atrocity’s brow. Rahul Bose is full of righteous damnation.

I Am, can happen to anyone who doesn’t conform. The isolation of the unorthodox is palpable in every precious breath that the four-storeyed tale takes.

The quartet of stories are backed by the most wonderful team of actors and technicians all working towards building an enchanting edifice of power and sex, lust and longing, loss and strands of redemption.

These are not “happy” stories. How can they be? When the people in them are so intrinsically unhappy? The challenge for Onir is to make his tortured characters acclimatized to their pain and suffering without making them look like resigned victims.

I Am brims over with the indignation of discrimination. But there is no room for hysteria or melodrama in the storytelling. Though all four stories are shot by one cameraman Arvind Kannabiran, each one conveys its own mood texture and urgency.

Though all are joined at the hip each story has its own unique rhythm There are no empty symbolic gestures of reconciliation and pacification in this world of disaffected derelicts.

The emptied-out world of the four protagonists is filled with the noises of smothered pain. Each protagonist carries his burden of guilty and grief to the last.

There is no getting away from the despair. But there is no sense of pessimism in the telling of the stories. That’s the beauty of this little gem of a film. You get affected. But you don’t lose hope. At the end of the tunnel there is a beam of light. You can’t miss it.

Ra.One Director's Laptop Missed, SRK In Panic?

Ra.One director`s laptop goes missing, SRK in panicA laptop containing vital data went missing on the sets of 'Ra.One' leaving the director traumatised

During a recent shoot for Ra.One, director Anubhav Sinha was a bundle of nerves when he discovered that he had lost his laptop, which contained important data of the film.

Shooting was stopped and the entire crew began searching for it. To Sinha's relief, it was found much later.

The director recounts: "We were shooting at Yashraj and my laptop was kept in my room. I told my boy to get it for me.

He returned to say it wasn't in my room. I told him that I handed it over to him to keep in the room, so where was it?"

He adds, "I got so worked up that I shouted at the poor guy. He went to check agains. It wasn't there. I freaked. Losing the laptop meant losing important data from the film, the music, scenes and so forth. So the entire crew started looking for my laptop.

Even Shah Rukh kept inquiring if I found it or not. We all were worried about the movie data being stolen."

"I tried to recollect the events that had happened before and realised I had told my of my assistant directors to keep my laptop in my room since my boy was busy.

And the AD by mistake kept it in his room!" He adds. "I was so relieved to find it but the trauma I went through in that half an hour was inexplicable."

Katrina Gave Nice Surprise to Catholic Boys

Let me give the Catholic boys a nice surprise: KatrinaKat enjoys sumptuous Easter dinner with Bosco-Ceasar Choreographers Bosco and Ceasar had an unexpected late night visitor over for dinner on Easter Sunday: Katrina Kaif. Unexpected, because the actress recently took ill while shooting for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. In the end, it appears she just had to sample the delicacies on offer. Her co-star Imran Khan was also at the dinner.

Says Bosco, "We had wound up choreographing a song that features Imran and Katrina. We invited everyone over for a homely Easter dinner at my home in Versova.

While Imran joined us, we weren't really expecting Katrina as she had been very unwell while shooting the song. It was a small get-together consisting of our close friends and families."

On the plate

The menu included mutton vindaloo, chicken curry, fish and prawn preparations, lamb chops, glazed ham, roasted lamb with phirni and ice-cream for dessert.

"As we settled down for dinner, there was a knock at the door. I opened the door and was shocked to see Katrina standing outside! It was a pleasant surprise.

She must have thought, 'let me give these Catholic boys a nice surprise'. She's mostly on a diet but loves gorging on home-cooked food once in a while."

Kalki Koechlin Is Getting Married This Year

I`m getting married this year: Kalki KoechlinActress Kalki Koechlin says she will tie the knot with filmmaker beau Anurag Kashyap this year, but refused to reveal the wedding date as she wants to keep it a private affair.

"Yes, we are getting married this year. I am not going to tell anyone the date, but I am getting married soon," Kalki, who made her Bollywood debut with Kashyap's 'Dev D' (2009), told. The two have been dating each other since.

What took them so long to decide to get married?

"We are engaged since January this year. When you marry a star, it's really tough to find dates for marriage (laughs)," said Kalki.

The actress, of French descent, will be seen in Bejoy Nambiar's directorial debut "Shaitan", which is produced by her fiance. Also, her much-talked about film, "The Girl in Yellow Boots", which she has co-written with Kashyap, is also set to release this year.

Salman Says Ladies Only! Bash with Zarine & Asin

Salman `Ladies Only` Bash with Asin and ZarineAt the music release of Ready on Monday evening Zarine Khan clung to Salman's side with single-minded determination while the film's leading lady Asin maintained a discreet distance happy to let Ms Khan (who has only a guest appearance in the film) be the superstar's arm-candy for the evening. Everyone knows Salman Khan was in his element at the music release of Ready on Monday evening at Film City.

But the actual fun began after the music release when Salman decided to have an impromptu bash in his pad that has been put up for him at Film City for the shooting of his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's Bodyguard.

Asin and Zarine Khan immediately accompanied Salman to his very private den. But the interesting part of the spontaneous party was that Salman invited only the ladies at the venue.

The men were largely left out.

Says a source, “After the music release Salman suddenly announced it was party time at his Bodyguard pad which is inside the Film City premise.

Zarine Khan was by his side and Asin was a safe distance away. They both accompanied him to his pad for the party. Strangely all the female members of the Ready cast—and there are at least 15-18 prominent female characters in the film—were asked to join the party while their husbands and male companions got left behind.

Salman has formed a superb bonding with all the ladies in the cast. After a while Salman suddenly remembered the husbands and boyfriends waiting somewhere down below and asked the ladies to call them up. Even the Ready director Anees Bazmi just dropped in at the part for five minutes and left. The party continued till the wee hours of Tuesday morning. ”

When contacted to verify this amusing all-women invitees' list Asin laughed, “Well, it's true. Salman invited all the female actors from Ready. We all went up his very comfortable and large pad with a view.

It has a garden and it has a beautiful view outside. Salman makes a wonderful host. The ladies were all happy to be partying. Suddenly Salman remembered their husbands and invited them too.

It was great fun though I was the odd one out since I don't drink. After a while it gets boring for both me and the others guests to keep wondering why I am not drinking. ”

Asin is deeply impressed by Salman's bonding with the woman in the cast. “All the ladies who play his aunts and relatives just dote on him. He makes them all feel like part of his extended family. ”

In fact watching Salman create a family within the unit of Ready has made Asin feel homesick. She is going home.

Says Asin, “I am taking off for Kerala for a couple of weeks. At the moment I've no other Hindi film on hand. So I can afford the time off. ”

Asin has apparently been offered everything from Anurag Basu's Barfee to Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick. But after films with Aamir, Salman and Ajay Devgn she's at the moment looking at a film with a leading man of her own age group.

Apparently Asin has been offered Sajid Nadiadwala's 2 States with Shah Rukh Khan. Again, another generation altogether!!!

Ekta Kapoor Says No Need to Pay Rs.100 to Watch Sex

Why would you pay Rs.100 just to watch sex: Ekta KapoorBored of the idiot box, TV tzarina Ekta Kapoor is fearlessly entering the bedroom space with films like "Love Sex Aur Dhokha", "Ragini MMS" and "Dirty Picture". But she says titillating the audience is not her agenda as Indians don't have to go to movie theatres to watch sex.

"There is lovemaking, but there is no sex in our films, " a nonchalant Ekta told in an interview.

"I personally believe in our country, if you want to see sex, you can go online and download it for free. Why would somebody pay Rs.50 or Rs.100-Rs.200 for a movie ticket just to watch sex?"

Referring to her movies, she said: "There is no sex in these films. But in none of these films do we run away from sex. They have just been labelled titillating. When I made TV shows, people called them regressive. Clearly, everyone wants to generalise everything.

In 2010, Ekta launched ALT Entertainment, a sister concern of her Balaji Telefilms Ltd, to cater to upwardly mobile young Indians with television and film content.

She released Dibaker Banerjee's bold and explicit project "Love Sex Aur Dhokha" under the banner, and realised there is a definite market for subjects and treatment that are closer to reality.

So now comes "Ragini MMS", about a couple who go for an adventurous weekend and get filmed by 24 cameras amid some paranormal activity, and "Dirty Picture", which traces the life of sex icon Silk Smitha.

"I choose a mid path. I can easily tell you that none of these films is high on sexuality. In fact a lot of our Hindi films where they show dupattas flying and deep cleavage, have a lot more sexuality. The difference is that they show it in a covert, more hidden way. But actually it is much more titillating, " said the daughter of Bollywood's Jumping Jack, the veteran star Jeetendra.

Caught in an unusually fun-loving mood at a hotel here, Ekta broke into guffaws the moment the stark contrast between her family-oriented dramas and the films was pointed out. She is after all known for soaps like "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi" and "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki."

"I am a living contradiction. I am chalk and cheese. Expect the unexpected from me! I can easily manage the two sides because I am a Gemini - a woman of all moods - I am Bohemian and conservative, " she said.

But 35-year-old Ekta, who kept fiddling with the many threads and bracelets worn on her left wrist for superstitious reasons, finally gave the reason behind the films.

"I was getting extremely tired with television. I love my television but I was getting bored doing the same thing over and over again. And I didn't want to go niche on television. Niche on TV is not allowed because audience for TV is so large.

"I can't monitor and I can't give advice as to who should be watching what on TV. So I didn't want to get experimental. I would never show something on TV which I am not comfortable watching with my parents or grandparents.

"I could have never had any kind of creative freedom on TV; so then I did movies! Now, I am able to do all kinds of entertainment...and that, I feel, is the biggest blessing!" she added.

And not once to mince words, Ekta readily admits that "Ragini MMS" is definitely not the kind of movie she would watch with her parents.

It is "strictly for youngsters!" she exclaimed.

Sonakshi Is On The HOT Seat Now?

Sonakshi on the hotseat! For the Bhojpuri quiz show her father's hosting. Salman Khan and Amitabh Bahchan may follow suit Sonakshi Sinha will appear on the Bhojpuri edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati, a show hosted by her father, Shatrughan Sinha. The episode will be recorded in Kolkata early next month as soon as Sonakshi finds the time.

Says the proud father, "Yes. Sonakshi is going to be on the hot seat. Audiences will finally get to see us together on screen."

Intelligent girl

Says Shotgun, "Sonakshi should not expect any easy questions just because she's my daughter. You'll be surprised to know she took the initiative of being on my show.

She asked me if she could participate. I happily agreed. She's an intelligent girl. I know she'll conduct herself well."

Sinha Sr admits he needs to work on his Bhojpuri. "That's strange because my mother spoke to us in the dialect. I'm brushing it up for KBC. It isn't difficult. Bhojpuri has direct links with Hindi. So mastering it is no problem."

Shatru's first guest is politician Yashwant Sinha. "Sonakshi will follow. From the film industry I'll also invite Salman Khan to be on the hotseat, " he says.

Amitabh Bachchan might also feature on the show. "Having him on my show makes perfect sense. I'll invite him personally. I am sure he will agree. The differences between us is a thing of the past."

Adds Sonakshi excitedly, "It will be great! I love the show. Although I don't speak Bhojpuri I can understand it. It would fun to be quizzed by dad."

Incidentally, a movie with the baap-beti is also in the works.

Katrina's Hottest Item Number Copy Is Chor Bazari?

Chor Bazari: Is Katrina`s hottest item number a copy?Katrina Kaif's 'hot' track in upcoming film might well be inspired by one of Deepika's 2009 releases Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone are headed for yet another showdown. Kat recently shot a song for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan that is supposedly going to knock the socks off Sheila Ki Jawani. It now appears that this number is quite similar in picurisation and setting to Deepika's Chor Bazari from Love Aaj Kal.

Informs our source, "Katrina gets drunk after having bhaang at a highway dhaba and starts singing and dancing wildly."

In the Love Aaj Kal track Dippy has 'one for the road' before shaking her booty.

Kat has rumouredly called Dippy's item number in Dum Maaro Dum a "thanda" affair as compared to her own Sheila Ki Jawani from Tees Maar Khan.

Not of interest

As reported 'Not interested' (Hitlist, April 22), Kat has stated that she hasn't seen the DMD title track that features Dippy and that it doesn't interest her anyway.

It's anybody's guess how the MBKD track will finally turn out, but what is sure, if sources are to be believed, that the two are not leaving any stone unturned in upstaging each other.

Shooting the song

The Mere Brother Ki Dulhan song was shot in a dhaba near Jogeshwari. Katrina, Imran Khan and Ali Zafar are travelling on the UP highway and halt at a dhaba to have a meal. Kat and gang have bhaang and get high and start dancing.

MYCHAEL DANNA and JEFF DANNA - Camelot

Original Television Soundtrack

CAMELOT

Music Composed by
Mychael Danna & Jeff Danna
([500] Days Of Summer, Little Miss Sunshine, Capote)

In the wake of King Uther’s sudden death, chaos threatens to engulf Britain. When the sorcerer Merlin (Joseph Fiennes) has visions of a dark future, he installs the young and impetuous Arthur (Jamie Campbell Bower, Sweeny Todd), Uther’s unknown son and heir, who has been raised from birth as a commoner.  But Arthur’s cold and ambitious half-sister Morgan (Eva Green, Casino Royale) will fight him to the bitter end, summoning unnatural forces to claim the crown in this epic battle for control. These are dark times indeed for the new king, with Guinevere (Tasmin Egerton) being the only shining light in Arthur’s harsh world.  Faced with profound moral decisions, and the challenge of uniting a kingdom broken by war and steeped in deception, Arthur will be tested beyond imagination.  Forget everything you think you know … this is the story of Camelot that has never been told before.

Capturing all the pageantry, adventure and romance of the Arthurian legend is the original score composed by Mychael and Jeff Danna.

CAMELOT will begin airing on Starz on April 1.

The score, recorded with a live orchestra at historic Capitol Studios in Hollywood, features solo violin, cello, and piano performances.

Following the worldwide critical success of BioShock, Garry Schyman was assigned by Electronic Arts to create the hellish, dramatic score for Visceral Games' adaptation of Dante Alighieri's epic poem, Dante's Inferno. The orchestral score and chorus were recorded at the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Metro Voices Singers.

Gustavo Santaolalla
(Brokeback Mountain, Babel, 21 Grams)

Mathieu Roussel is a novelist who once wrote an extremely successful novel. Since then, lacking inspiration, he has been forced to write unauthorized biographies under a pen name. His new target is Léna Weber (Catherine Deneuve) once a world-famous reporter and now a media icon anchorwoman on the leading French network. To reach out to her and to become her Personal Assistant, he uses his past relationship with her daughter, Maria Canalès (Géraldine Pailhas), a prima ballerina committed to her father’s political engagement in Spain. Trying to play daughter against mother for his book, he secretly starts seeing Maria again. Mathieu never imagined that by setting both of them up to dig for material for his book, he is going to find himself trapped. He will have no other choice than to eventually bring these two women who lost contact years ago closer. In doing so, he will also help Maria to reveal a long-kept secret.  Bruno, a 20-year-old boy living with his parents in Brittany, is not yet aware of all the consequences this story will have on his existence.

The beautiful and compassionate guitar-based score was composed and performed by Academy Award® winner, Gustavo Santaolalla.

FAST FIVE

Music Composed by
BRIAN TYLER
(Fast And Furious, Battle: LA)

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast Five. In this installment, former cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race.

Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they’ve blown across many borders to elude authorities. Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom. As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead. But he’s not the only one on their tail.

Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) never misses his target. When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them. But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can’t separate the good guys from the bad. Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey…before someone else runs them down first.

THE BORGIAS

LA FILLE DU PUISATIER

Music Composed by
Alexandre Desplat
(Twilight: New Moon, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows)

One afternoon while cutting across the field to take lunch to her father, Patricia meets Jacques.  She is 18 and pretty, with the manners of a young lady; he is 26, a fighter pilot and handsome.  A bit of moonlight holds sway over their second meeting.  There won’t be a third — Jacques is sent to the front.

Patricia finds herself pregnant, and the boy’s rich parents cry blackmail.  Patricia and her father, the well-digger, are the only ones to welcome the infant with joy — a joy that Jacques’ parents soon begin to envy and want to share because Jacques is reported missing …

Academy Award nominee Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Queen) provides a beautifully pastoral score.  The CD also features Enrico Caruso’s performance of the song, “Core ‘Ngrato,” used so prominently in the film.

La Fille Du Puisatier opens in France on April 27.
