Salman Says Ladies Only! Bash with Zarine & Asin

Salman `Ladies Only` Bash with Asin and ZarineAt the music release of Ready on Monday evening Zarine Khan clung to Salman's side with single-minded determination while the film's leading lady Asin maintained a discreet distance happy to let Ms Khan (who has only a guest appearance in the film) be the superstar's arm-candy for the evening. Everyone knows Salman Khan was in his element at the music release of Ready on Monday evening at Film City.

But the actual fun began after the music release when Salman decided to have an impromptu bash in his pad that has been put up for him at Film City for the shooting of his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's Bodyguard.

Asin and Zarine Khan immediately accompanied Salman to his very private den. But the interesting part of the spontaneous party was that Salman invited only the ladies at the venue.

The men were largely left out.

Says a source, “After the music release Salman suddenly announced it was party time at his Bodyguard pad which is inside the Film City premise.

Zarine Khan was by his side and Asin was a safe distance away. They both accompanied him to his pad for the party. Strangely all the female members of the Ready cast—and there are at least 15-18 prominent female characters in the film—were asked to join the party while their husbands and male companions got left behind.

Salman has formed a superb bonding with all the ladies in the cast. After a while Salman suddenly remembered the husbands and boyfriends waiting somewhere down below and asked the ladies to call them up. Even the Ready director Anees Bazmi just dropped in at the part for five minutes and left. The party continued till the wee hours of Tuesday morning. ”

When contacted to verify this amusing all-women invitees' list Asin laughed, “Well, it's true. Salman invited all the female actors from Ready. We all went up his very comfortable and large pad with a view.

It has a garden and it has a beautiful view outside. Salman makes a wonderful host. The ladies were all happy to be partying. Suddenly Salman remembered their husbands and invited them too.

It was great fun though I was the odd one out since I don't drink. After a while it gets boring for both me and the others guests to keep wondering why I am not drinking. ”

Asin is deeply impressed by Salman's bonding with the woman in the cast. “All the ladies who play his aunts and relatives just dote on him. He makes them all feel like part of his extended family. ”

In fact watching Salman create a family within the unit of Ready has made Asin feel homesick. She is going home.

Says Asin, “I am taking off for Kerala for a couple of weeks. At the moment I've no other Hindi film on hand. So I can afford the time off. ”

Asin has apparently been offered everything from Anurag Basu's Barfee to Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick. But after films with Aamir, Salman and Ajay Devgn she's at the moment looking at a film with a leading man of her own age group.

Apparently Asin has been offered Sajid Nadiadwala's 2 States with Shah Rukh Khan. Again, another generation altogether!!!

Fatrina To Katrina - Zarine Khan Losted It

The girl who aspired to emulate Katrina's success story ended up with a nickname Fatrina after Veer's disastrous run at box-office. Thanks to her chocolate diet recommended by Salman, Zarine Khan is having hard time shedding the flab.

The newbie has been gymming daily for over an hour coupled with swimming and jogging and the results are more than encouraging. Sources say that she will feature in Salman Khan starrer 'Kick', and producer Sajid Nadiadwala has asked her to shed weight.

Talking about her weight gain, a source said, “Sallu had put his 'Veer' co-star on a chocolate diet to pile on kilos for the period drama.

The actor had personally taken an interest in her diet, making sure she gorged on cakes and pastries as her role required her to look fuller and more curvaceous. She went on to gain over 10 kilos for her screen persona of a princess in the movie.”

Also confirming her weight gain issues, Zarine said, "Every morning, I do pilates for an hour with Yasmin Karachiwalla. While weight training is thrice a week also with her."

Zarine Khan Will Never Wear A Bikini Cause Of Fatness

Flaunting one's body in a bikini is no more taboo in Hindi films, but new entrant Zarine Khan, who debuted with "Veer", says she would never be able to don a two-piece costume on screen.

In "Veer", the Mumbai girl was covered from head to toe throughout the film. But is she ready to play a chic urban girl and wear contemporary costumes in her future movies?

"I am more than willing to do so. What I am sure about though is that I would never be able to wear a bikini. That's because I am constantly thinking that I am fat, I am fat, I am fat. Till the time this voice reverberates inside my head, I will always be apprehensive, " Zarine told.

"I'm very conscious about my weight. In fact, during my school and college days, I used to weigh as much as 100 kilos. It's only now that I weigh a lot lesser. I want to play all kinds of roles and get into the kind of attire that a Hindi film heroine is required to wear.

"However, before that I will have to get rid of all the excess weight that I currently have on me. It's just a few more pounds to go and after that it should all be well, " said Zarine.

Zarine, who plays princess Yashodhara in "Veer" that has Salman in the lead role, understands that if she wants to be in the business of showbiz, she will need a good figure.

"Whatever role that I consent to play, it has to be done with dedication. However, I'm a new entrant and there are so many established actresses who are taking the size zero route.

Obviously, I can't beat them due to my body structure, but I wish to get into shape to the best of my ability, " she said.

Narrating her journey of weighty issues, Zarine said: "It was only after I started doing modelling that my weight went down by 40-45 kilos from an original 100.

I have a tendency to lose and put on weight. This is why while working on 'Veer', I was so happy. For a change no one was asking me to lose weight."

In "Veer" she was not required to look skinny; therefore she could even pile on chocolates.

"Why just chocolates? I also got to eat other junk stuff which I had to earlier sacrifice. Any actress would have thought 1, 000 times before eating the kind of things that I got on a platter on the sets of 'Veer'. Having said that, I had to be reasonably conscious about not becoming 100 kilos again. I was regular with my workouts to maintain a curvaceous body."

Zarine is now biding her time before she gets ready for her next venture.

"I am taking things slow and waiting for what best comes to me next. Industry has been supportive so far though I'm looking forward to something concrete. I'm taking things slow; there is no hurry, " she said.
