‘Eat, Pray, Love’ gets Dario Marianelli score


Ryan Murphy’s film adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir, Eat, Pray, Love, will be scored by Dario Marianelli, the Academy Award-winning composer of Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, The Brothers Grimm, The Soloist and the current Agora and Everybody’s Fine. The film, which tells the story of a woman who embarks on a journey around the world when she realizes that she needs a change of direction in life, stars Julia Roberts, James Franco, Javier Bardem and Viola Davis and is produced by Columbia Pictures for release next year.

DARIO MARIANELLI's "EVERYBODY'S FINE" [CD]


Everybody's Fine is an upcoming remake of the Giuseppe Tornatore film Stanno Tutti Bene that is written and directed by Kirk Jones and stars Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore and Kate Beckinsale. The film is scheduled to be released on December 4, 2009.

A widower decides on a whim to take a road trip to reconnect with each of his grown kids, discovering that their lives are far from perfect.

DARIO MARIANELLI - Agora (2009)

Agora is an upcoming 2009 historical drama film directed by Alejandro Amenábar, written by Amenábar and Mateo Gil, and starring Rachel Weisz and Max Minghella. It was screened Out of Competition at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.[1] It will then get a general release on December 18, 2009.

The movie tells the story of astronomer-philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria (Weisz) and her relationship with her slave Davus (Minghella), who is torn between his love for his mistress and the possibility of gaining his freedom by joining the rising tide of Christianity. [wikipedia]
