Bipasha Basu was born in New Delhi, India, the Bengali family. This is the second of three daughters with her parents, the older Bidisha, and younger-Vijayeta. Although born in New Delhi, his family later moved to Calcutta.

He also made a guest appearance on the stolen video Jay Sean's. In 2006, he won popular approval for his performance in a number of items in Beede song in the film Omkara. The song was a national hit, and Basu picturisation is appreciated.
