Kaif was born in Hong Kong to an Indian Kashmiri Muslim father, Mohammed Kaif and British mother, Suzzane Turquotte. Her mother, a graduate of Harvard, is a lawyer, but was later involved in charity work. Her parents divorced when Kaif was very young. Kaif had seven brothers and sisters. She was in Hawaii, USA, and later moved to his mother's homeland, England raised.
